Turkish energy technology startup Werer Energy has secured a $600,000 investment from Dutch firm Westure VC, at a $10 million valuation. The funding will help scale its energy storage solutions and expand into international markets.
The announcement was made at the ITU ARI Technokent Big Bang Startup Challenge 2025, where Werer also won awards and support packages worth 2.5 million TL.
The company specializes in secure lithium battery systems, storage containers, hybrid inverters, and smart energy management software. It currently serves major Turkish industrial clients, enhancing energy efficiency and providing uninterrupted power.
With the new capital, Werer plans to increase production capacity, accelerate R&D in battery safety and software, and enter global markets, starting with Europe.
Westure VC partners highlighted Werer’s rapid growth and the founders’ visionary approach as key factors in their investment decision.
This investment is a strong step for Turkey's energy transformation and marks the beginning of its global scaling phase.
